30 Days of Prayer

For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”            Matt 18:20

We are excited to ask you to join us in an intentional time of prayer regarding our ministry in Haiti and the team of partners God is raising up!  Over the next 30 days we will be communicating each day here on our blog and weekly through our newsletter.

You may ask why pray or why now?  What’s so important or what’s wrong?  As we move closer to moving to Haiti we are definitely experiencing some anxious moments.  Our days are filled with so many thoughts and tasks, relating to both here and there, like finishing well with our jobs at Calvary, getting the house in order to leave, deciding what belongings we’ll take with us, how we’ll fit everything into 10 to 15 suitcases, as well as being fully funded in order to be on the field by March of 2014.  The list goes on.  This can lead to some anxious times around our house.  Thankfully we can always lean into Gods truth.  He calls us not to be anxious about “anything” but to pray, be thankful and present our requests to Him.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Phil 4: 6-7

What a great promise from God!  Hence, our desire for what we will be doing here for the next 30 days… sharing requests, being thankful, sharing verses of praise and promise, letting the peace of God guard our hearts as we transition into a new season of life praying for each other.

We don’t want to be one sided as we pray so please post your requests so we can pray intentionally for you too!  Please share with friends on Facebook… the more the merrier.  At the end of our 30 days we are looking forward to celebrating answered prayer!

I would be honored to be intentional about praying for you guys during this time! My favorite verse comes to mind….Trust in The Lord with all your heart. Lean not on your own understanding but in all ways acknowledge Him and He will guide your path. Miss you!
