Day 14: 30 days of prayer…

“And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.”   Rom 5:4

I have joked about not wanting to pray for patience or endurance because who knew what kind of trial would be put in my path to grow patience and/or endurance!  Asking for either of those things might just send a torrent of trials in order to develop those characteristics in my life.  But that isn’t really the way it works, is it?  The reality is that whether we pray for those things or not, challenges will come as we pursue the purpose we were created for.  Today we are praying for endurance which empowers each of us to withstand the weight of the days ahead, building us up in Christ as we trust and obey.
