Blessed to be a blessing
God approached Abram with a promise…to make a great nation that would be blessed and to build a nation that would be a blessing to the nations.
“I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Gen 12:2
I believe that we too, as a nation, have been blessed to be a blessing… and we have. We have shared and helped many people from many nations to know God as their Savior. But much sharing is still needed if we hope to see the picture of heaven that has been painted for us in the book of Revelations.
“After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb.“ Rev 7:9
Not just some tribes or some nations but people from all nations, from every tribe, and people that spoke every kind of language. That’s a lot of people to reach… 3.5 billion by some estimates. People who might have never heard the gospel or the words “Jesus loves you”. Often these people have no access to the Bible and if they do many would be killed if they were caught reading it.
Pray for those who have never heard God’s name, whom are lost, living without hope. Pray that someone would choose to share the good news of Jesus with them. Pray for a generation of young people who will be willing to continue taking the gospel of Jesus Christ into the nations that God so dearly loves.
